Jon McCreery

Mr. McCreery has owned and operated construction companies for 30 years and is also a licensed contractor in the states of Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas.  His companies have been selected as Builder of the Year in Memphis two separate times and Builder of the Year for the state of Tennessee once, demonstrating a commitment to professional and well-managed businesses respected by members of the building industry.  Mr. McCreery’s contribution to the community has been through his 26 years of being a member of Hope Presbyterian Church and serving as a Board Director for five years and then Chairman for three years with the Germantown Youth Athletic Association (GYAA), the largest youth sports associations in the Greater Memphis area.  His leadership skills have been recognized by the Shelby County Mayor and the City of Memphis Mayor through their appointment of Mr. McCreery to serve on the Memphis and Shelby County planning commission, formerly known as the Memphis and Shelby County Land Use Control Board (LUCB).  In 2012, Mr. McCreery was also appointed by both mayors as Chairman of the LUCB.  He has also been a Director for the Board of First Capital Bank for 14 years.  A list of notable jobs that Mr. McCreery built over the past several years are:

  • Ten building office complex known as Bonnie Lane Offices
  • Developer and owner of twelve neighborhood shopping centers averaging 20,000 sq. ft. each
  • Construction of three local Trustmark Bank facilities
  • Corporate office of Canale Enterprises, a 20,000 sq. ft. upscale office located in downtown Memphis
  • US Government Census Bureau facility totaling 18,000 sq. ft.
  • Ronald McDonald House addition to the charitable facility in Memphis
